Soup Kitchen Challenge
The Salvation Army has teamed up with the New Covent Garden Food Co and is challenging children and adults to take part in a very special Soup Kitchen Challenge on Friday 27th November 2009. We're inviting you to organise a soup lunch to raise money for The Salvation?Army&'s work with people who are homeless or in need. It&';s easy to take part and a great way to make a difference this Christmas. The Soup Kitchen Challenge Schools Pack includes an assembly outline, classroom activities and everything else you need to take part in Soup Kitchen Challenge.

Refugees - Home from Home
A story of hope and belonging. A KS2 lesson exploring how a community can support refugees. It encourages pupils to reflect on how we can be welcoming to others in our lives. It is based on real events, of a Salvation Army community supporting a Syrian refugee family through the Community Sponsorship scheme. There is a PSHE focus but can easily be adapted for RE.

True Story - Anti-trafficking
Enable pupils to develop their understanding of anti-human trafficking through the true stories of Lydia, Fredek and Tee - survivors of modern slavery.
These three lessons are designed to support your pupils to address this challenging topic in an accessible way and can be used separately or as part of a series of lessons. True Story equips teachers to facilitate discussion and action against injustice, to help pupils consider their basic needs, be part of community groups and develop resilience.
